The community of Cochranton, now 1200 citizens strong was chartered as a borough in 1855 and is located in Crawford County in the French Creek Basin. The French Creek provides kayaking and fishing fun along with other outdoor activities. This quaint town provides many amenities found in larger communities such as public water and sewer. The community takes pride in its neighborhood feel and closeness of its citizens. Local businesses offer a wide variety of services for the community. Students in the community attend schools that are a part of Crawford Central School District.
